Up next: "Just layin' around"
Q: Are you facing your demons? LA: "Absolutely. It's a process, and I think we're at the beginning of the process."
He's right about being at the beginning of the process.
It's a process. But it was forced upon him. Would this process seem more genuine if it had come about organically?
A British radio host asked me about that last night, Sinful Mistress (I just laughed out loud typing that name). I don't know. Would I buy LA stock now or wait a little longer? Can he even recover 10 percent to make it a worthwhile investment?
I don't want to belabor the analogy but Bill Clinton was intially very aggressive and hostile.
Betting pool here in Australia says there will be a breakdown before the show's end ...
Doesn't believe doping contributed to causing his cancer.
Here is footage from Armstrong's brash deposition in the SCA Promotions arbitration.
Armstrong calls it "sick."
Watching clip of himself from 2006 SCA Promotions lawsuit testimony, LA says "I don't like that guy." Asked "who is that guy?" he answers "He's still there."
Armstrong says that guy is still inside.
"I'd apologize to David Walsh," he said reluctantly.
Do you owe David Walsh an apology? Journalists, what say you? In chorus?
Do you owe David Walsh an apology? LA: "That's a good question............. I would apologize to David Walsh."
"I will spend as long as I have to, to make amends, knowing full well I won't get very many back."
There it is. Wants the 8 year ban so he can compete at 50.
Are you doing this because you want to compete again? "If you are asking me if I want to compete again, the answer is yes. I'm a competitor."
I'm beginning to get the feeling we're still going to be left wanting for details after tonight's broadcast. This is all about Armstrong the man and what endurance events he'd like to compete in.
Hearing my posts are about a minute behind. Apologies. I just hit refresh. Fingers crossed.
Lance says he deserves to compete.
This man is insane. "I deserve [to compete] again."
"I deserved to be punished. I don't know that I deserved the death penalty."
Oprah is laughing. I'm not sure about that.
Armstrong calls his "layin' around" tweet a mistake.
On "Just layin around" tweet sitting with 7 TDF jerseys: "That was another big mistake"
The "death penalty" forced LA to face all this ...
Next week he's going to say he thought this was a good idea too...
"That was just more defiance. And what's scary is that I thought it was a good idea at the time."
